Pheidole Pallidula

  • Pheidole pallidula is a species commonly found in the south of Europe and north Africa. They are tiny agressive ants with majors that have an extremely large head. That's why they are commonly reffered to the big headed ant .

Some Pheidole species are polygenus but Pheidole pallidula is monogyne meaning there is only one queen per colony. Colonies can grow very large very fast up to 30.000 workers! Queen are 6-8mm large and workers 2-4 mm large.

These ants are agressive and have swarming capebilities. They need a lot of food and will search actively for it.
