General
Not much is known about this species. Workers are active mostly around dawn.
Food
These ants have a varied diet and will eat most foods eg crickets, mealworms, sugar water and honey.
If you feed insects from the wild freeze or boil these insects to sterilize them. Skipping this step can introduce mites to your colony.
Humidity
They don’t require high humidity, watering the nest once a week is
recommended. Always provide the ants with an exteral water source to drink from.
Temperature
Being from warm areas, it’s best to keep them at 26-30c.
Hibernation
A short diapause is recommended at 10-15c from December to February.
Sting/bite
This species does not sting but they spray formic acid and majors bites can cause pain.
