The Mini Outworld V2: A Compact Foraging Space That Grows with Your Colony
When your colony is still in a test tube or just getting started, a full-size outworld is too much. Your ants get lost in the space, food spoils before it gets found, and the whole setup looks messier than it needs to. What you actually need is something small, clean, and easy to manage from day one.
The Mini Outworld V2 is exactly that. Designed by Daniel Onneweer, it is a compact rectangular acrylic outworld built for founding queens and small colonies. It fits neatly on a shelf, keeps things organized, and connects directly to your test tube setup without adapters or extra parts.

Four test tube slots, one tubing port
The V2 has four slots on the sides. You can connect a single test tube, use two or three at once, or close off any slots you are not using. This gives you full flexibility depending on how your colony is set up right now.
When your colony outgrows the test tube phase, a dedicated port compatible with 10mm tubing lets you connect a nest directly. That means you can keep using the same outworld rather than replacing it. Built to expand alongside your collection
One of the most useful upgrades in the V2 is modular expansion. Using the optional Double Connector, you can attach two V2 units side by side. If you keep several colonies this is genuinely practical: each colony has its own outworld, and you can arrange them in a clean row and add more as your collection grows.
The Liquid Feeder also fits directly onto the V2, which keeps sugar water accessible without opening the lid every time you need to refill it.
Ready to use out of the box
The V2 arrives fully preassembled. In the box: the outworld base, three test tube connectors, three close connectors, one tube connector, and two 16x150mm test tubes. There is no film to peel and nothing to put together first. You open the box, decide how you want to configure it, and you are done.
